ST MARY’S TATSFIELD – ‘FRIENDSHIP LUNCHES’ FOR LENT

Saturday 05 April 2025
12:00 to 14:00

Why not join us and enjoy a relaxed ploughman’s style lunch including delicious warming homemade soup, bread, salad, cheese and pickles? We’ll also have some finger food options for children, or you can bring your own toddler snacks if you prefer.
The suggested voluntary contribution for lunch is £3 per adult. Children’s food and all craft activities are free. We want everyone to feel welcome at our lunches whatever their circumstances which means there is no request for payment on arrival. Instead, a discreet payment box is located inside the hall for those able to make a donation. For those with crafty fingers they’ll also be some optional and free all age Easter crafts to try, including a challenge to decorate a real egg for our Easter Tree!
All proceeds from this year’s lunches will go to the Bishop of Southwark’s Annual Lent Call to raise funds for local community projects, and projects in our Link Dioceses in Zimbabwe and Jerusalem, as well as calling parishes to a time of prayer and contemplation. The Bishop's Lent Call for 2025 will support projects that help children and young people recover from trauma and encourage their mental wellbeing.
I do hope you’ll be able to join us. These are ‘drop-In events’ so there is no need to book, but if you haven’t been before and would like more information, just call or text me on 07710 411 587. Maryrose Fawke
